Love Notes ~ Vol. 3

Brandie is very sweet and knowledgeable; I was very glad to have her by my side during my pregnancy and birth. I believe my second birth experience went much smoother than my first because of her help. I will definitely be utilizing her services again if we are ever blessed with another child! 

 
Brandie! I don’t even know what to say! She has been such an AMAZING help and support throughout my whole pregnancy! One thing I love about her is that she doesn’t look at her clients like just “clients” but FAMILY. She checked on me several times throughout my pregnancy and even after I gave birth! (March 4th 2023) 

I would DEFINITELY recommend her to ANYONE who is expecting and tell them to get ready to experience a sweet lady who CARES about her mommies! I’m so glad I found her. She made my whole pregnancy/labor experience an experience that I actually ENJOYED.

Brandie is a blessing. I’m so happy that she was doula, she’ll advocate for you and with you. Think of her as the fairy god mother you need with you at all times. & She even cut my daughters umbilical cord (: so they’re bonded for life. I also had my placenta encapsulated & omg!! I haven’t experienced any postpartum symptoms , they give you so much energy and it eased the pain of my uterus going back into place. So definitely recommend trying that as a service as well. 

Thank you for being there for me and communicating on my behalf & just everything! You have no idea what an impact you made during my delivery for me. You deserve a special shout-out for being the fairy god mother every woman needs during labor & delivery ! 

Not having having to wake up and answer the nurses questions, you holding my hand during the contractions, the reassurance you gave me, just everything ... your aura when you walked in the room gave me relief, and I knew at that moment everything would be okay. I was scared on the way to the hospital because of the dumb putting doubt in my head that I was endangering my child by not having a c-section and when I got in the truck "home by daughtry" and die young by Kesha came on so I wassss soooooo paranoid, but I felt safe when you walked in, a weight off my shoulder. I wish I had you with Dane but I'm satisfied we got to do at least one of my births together.

Brandie helped me with my placenta encapsulation and I am so thankful for her! I felt as if I had known her for a very long time and could feel how passionate she was about her work. 

Brandie was very responsive and made the process very simple. I highly recommend births and beyond for all the services provided.

Just two weeks after my baby’s first birthday I was due to have my second child. This pregnancy I made sure to have a doula as last time I did not. Just as I expected, Brandie went above and beyond. She is extremely knowledgeable and gave me comfort knowing I was in good hands. She is informative and very personable, and she makes it very easy to open up to her. This birthing experience was much better all around because of her presence. She became my voice and she was an advocate for my body. She allowed me to use the advice of the medical staff but not feel forced. She made sure to check up on me throughout my pregnancy and allowed me to message her or contact her with any questions or concerns I had. She also spent the whole day with me leading up to my birth and made sure to come back and check up on me in the hospital. Of course I had my placenta encapsulated as I highly suggest for all moms, and she made me a beautiful umbilical keepsake. I highly suggest having a doula, especially Brandie! She has become to important and a special part of our growing family.
 

We have used Brandie twice now (two years apart) so I’m using my other account to post the most recent experience this time.   

After my having my son in 2021 without a doula, there was no question if I would have a doula for the next baby. We had only done the placenta art with Brandie before. This time we used the doula services.

We found out we were pregnant in February and that week I messaged Brandie for her doula services.  Pregnancy #2 was going great, and baby was developing as she should. Fast forward to 35 weeks and my little girl decided she wanted to come into the world early! When my water broke the morning of 9/18, panic set in because it was too early. I called Brandie hysterical, along with what felt like 100 others, to figure out what we needed to do. She helped calm me down and started calling the local hospitals to find out who had a NICU. We were not in the same part of town where we planned to deliver, and we needed to go to the nearest hospital with one. I was so thankful for her helping there because I was calling the OB office, and my sister was helping make arrangements for my two-year-old since she was working. A lot of moving parts that morning.

Brandie met us shortly after arriving in the hospital and was able to be with us in triage. And thank God she was. While doing a routine ultrasound to check on baby, the found her to be transverse (laying sideways) and my heart shattered. Our birth plan was out the window, and the only option was going to be a C-section. Brandie was right there to comfort me, help me relax and process what was going on. The doctor wanted to do a more in-depth ultrasound to check the baby. So, two hours later that was done and what do you know, baby girl turned head down and we were sent to L&D. We were laboring great, hope was restored, and the next ultrasound was going to be around 9:30p to check her.

Ultrasound time comes around and my heart was shattered once more. Baby girl turned sideways again, and I was a mess all over again. We didn’t have time to wait for her to turn again and they began prepping me for a C-section.

Thank God for Brandie! She was right there comforting me and praying with me. I was numb and crying and she helped answer questions I was being asked. She helped reassure me that it was all going to be okay. She told me that there must be a reason she keeps turning and that our safety is priority. Everything went as it should for the C-section and baby girl was born healthy.  Thankfully she didn’t need any NICU time, and she came home with me.

Though our birth plans didn’t get to happen, my baby and I were healthy. I’m so thankful for Brandie helping me through one of my greatest fears of having a C-section. I don’t know how I would have made it through without Brandie. From all the educational material, to talking and baby girl’s birth, Brandie was amazing. She advocated for me when I couldn’t talk or process. She guided me through some of the hardest events I have ever had to experience and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you, Brandie, for everything! I love you so much! And you can bet that if we decided for another baby, you will be my first call!! 💖
 

My pregnancy Doula experience with Brandie was amazing. I spoke with her in my 2nd trimester about her services and locked in my spot with her. I’ve always wanted a natural birth and finally found a person that made me comfortable enough to go all the way through with it. Brandie is very knowledgeable about her profession, sweet, very presentable and professional and helped me in every way possible with my birthing plan, labor and even placenta encapsulation. If you’re looking for a doula I would definitely recommend her to anyone🤎 thank you so much!
 

 Brandie is absolutely AMAZING!! She provided wonderful information and assistance that started before I even gave birth. She has a spectacular personality, makes you comfortable, and gives the support you need. I would recommend her over and over again.
She also does placenta work which I recommend, we got some wonderful keepsakes!!  
 

Brandie was so wonderful to work with. We used her for placenta encapsulation. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She was dependable and delivered the capsules within a couple days of me giving birth. Brandie also took time out of her Christmas holiday to pick up my placenta from the hospital since I gave birth on Christmas Day. If you are looking for doula or placenta encapsulation, I would highly recommend her!
